A catamaran is the easy answer in Croatia. The coast is a chain of over a thousand islands with short hops between them, the water is flat behind the archipelago, and a catamaran gives you the deck space to actually enjoy it: wide trampolines, a shaded cockpit, and a swim platform you will not want to leave.

Croatia also has nearly 60 marinas, many of them new, so berthing in the middle of a walled old town is normal here rather than a special occasion.

Crewed catamarans in Croatia start at around €30,000 per week for a boat under 65ft, with mid-range 75ft cats at €45,000 to €70,000 and luxury 90ft catamarans from €50,000 to €100,000. On top of the base rate, budget for:

Where to Go on Your Croatia Catamaran Charter?

Most catamaran weeks start in Split or Trogir, both an easy transfer from the airport, and work south through Brac, Hvar, Vis, and Korcula, where nothing is more than a couple of hours away. The Kornati islands out of Sibenik are the quieter option: a national park of bare limestone islets and empty anchorages that suit a shallow-draft boat perfectly. Further south, Mljet and Dubrovnik make a natural one-way finish.
