Croatia has the newest crewed catamaran fleet in the Mediterranean, and it is built for families: short hops between islands, flat anchorages, and kids’ water skis on the toy list of most boats over 60 feet. These 10 go further, with a cabin for the children, a toy kit sized for them, and crews who are good with kids.
One thing only Croatia offers this plainly: on the big Split fleets, a safety net around the deck is a bookable extra at about 240 euros for the week, and a nanny comes aboard on request at about 220 euros a night. We add both to the contract when the children are small.
Every boat here earned its slot on a fact, not a feeling: a bunk cabin, a water slide, a 3-bed kids’ cabin, a crew who take small children in their stride. We checked each one against her current rate card and crew list this week, and the boats we walked at the Croatia show say so.

10. OPAL
“5 Queens for 2 Families, from 20,000 Euros”
OPAL is the boat for 2 families who want 10 real beds without paying for a new build. She is a Lagoon 620 with 5 queen cabins, each with its own bathroom, so both sets of parents get a door and the children get 3 cabins between them.
Her crew of 3 includes a chef, so all 3 meals are aboard, and her captain is the reason our brokers keep booking her: every charter we have sent has come back happy. She is a 2017 boat, and we say so, because the value is the point.
The kit is sized for children: kids’ water skis beside the adult set, a tube, 5 floating mats, beach games and a big Highfield tender. She runs from Split, with a one-way to Dubrovnik on request, and the Split fleet’s safety net and nanny extras apply to her.
9. TRI WING
“The Only Lagoon 55 with a Water Slide”
TRI WING has the one toy no other catamaran in Croatia can match: an inflatable water slide off the deck, and it is the first thing the children run to every morning. We walked her at the Croatia show, and the crew are as good as the slide.
She is a 2024 Lagoon 55 for 10 guests in 4 double cabins and a twin, each with its own bathroom, so the children take the twin and the parents keep their doors. A projector and Starlink cover the evenings.
The rest of the kit: a SeaBob F5S, 2 sea scooters, a donut, a wakeboard and water skis. Her crew of 2 serve breakfast and a light lunch, which suits a family who want dinner ashore in the konobas. Her July and August rate sits above our floor; the shoulder months are cheaper still.
8. BY MY SIDE
“Families Rebook Her, at 15 Knots”
BY MY SIDE is the power catamaran families come back to. She cruises at 15 knots, among the fastest in her class, so a family of 5 sees more of the islands in a week and the children spend the afternoons in the water rather than under way.
She is a 2024 Aquila 54 for 8 guests in a master set forward on the bow with sea views and 3 doubles, all with their own bathrooms, and a crew of 3 who feed everyone aboard. A bar links the saloon to the aft deck, which is where the parents end up.
The toys are the modern set: a SeaBob F9, a Flite sea scooter, a Hobie pedal kayak, a 4-person towable and a 4 by 2 meter floating platform to jump off. She is based in Šibenik, with a Split pickup for a small fee.
7. AHALYA
“The Sunreef 60 Families Love for the Towables”
AHALYA greets you with a warm feel and a protected aft deck for family dinners, and her flybridge is the best used we have seen on a 60-footer: a big table, a barbecue, a fridge, an ice-maker and hammock chairs under a see-through hardtop.
She is a 2025 Sunreef 60 for 8 guests in a king master and 3 queens, each with its own bathroom, with a crew of 3 including a chef. The master bathroom’s huge shower is a standout for the size.
Families choose her for the towables: kids’ water skis, a kneeboard, a tube, floating mats, beach games and wetsuits in grown-up and kids’ sizes, with a SeaBob F9 included and an e-foil for hire. She is the boat we point a first-time family to at the friendly end of the price list.
6. MR.SI
“An Extra Berth for a Child in the Master”
MR.SI solves the problem of a family of 3 who do not want the toddler in a cabin of their own: her master cabin carries an extra berth for a child. The other 3 doubles take the rest of the family, each with its own bathroom.
She is a 2023 Sunreef 60 for 8 guests with a crew of 3, captain, chef and hostess, and the SeaBob is included in the rate rather than rented. A hydraulic swim platform and a telescopic ladder put the toys at water level.
The kit is sized for children: kids’ water skis and adult skis, a kneeboard, a tube, a chaser towable, a wakeboard, 2 paddleboards and a kayak. She lives in Rogoznica, picks up in Split for free, and will cross to Montenegro for a family who want 2 countries in a week.
5. NIKA ONE
“Junior Skis, a Banana and 8 Snorkel Sets in Sizes”
NIKA ONE carries the toy kit written with children in mind: a junior water ski beside the adult one, a 2-person banana, a 2-person donut, 2 underwater scooters, a wakeboard, a 2-person kayak and 8 snorkel sets in various sizes, so the 6-year-old gets a mask that fits.
She is a 2025 Fountaine Pajot for 8 guests in 4 equal queen cabins, each with its own bathroom, which suits 2 families of 4 as well as it suits one family of 8. A crew of 3 run her, with a chef.
Her rate is one number for the whole season, which families like for the budgeting, with charters starting on Mondays and Wednesdays out of Split, so the flights land on the cheaper days. Her 60-horsepower tender is enough to pull the banana with 2 children on it.
4. TRIWING ENDOR
“The Floating Playground Off the Stern”
TRIWING ENDOR is the boat in the photo at the top of this page: a Lagoon 65 with an XXXL inflatable aquatic area tied off her stern, a whole floating playground the children climb, jump from and paddle around all afternoon.
She is a 2024 build for 8 guests in 4 queen cabins, each with its own bathroom, with a crew of 4 including a chef and a stewardess who is also a masseuse. All 3 meals are aboard, and the rate lists the toys as included rather than extras.
The kit runs to 2 Porsche SeaBobs, an e-foil, a donut, a wakeboard, a waveboard, water skis, a kayak and beach games. She runs from Marina Kaštela in Split, with a one-way to Dubrovnik on request, and Starlink keeps the parents online. A Nohrd fitness bike and yoga mats live aboard for the mornings.
3. NDS EVOLUTION
“A 3-Bed Kids’ Cabin and an Inflatable Toy Dock”
NDS EVOLUTION is built around the family cabin plan most catamarans cannot offer: a full-beam master with its own door onto the foredeck, 2 double VIP cabins, and a cabin with 3 single beds that the listing itself calls perfect for the kids. She sleeps 9.
She is an 86-foot JFA catamaran from 2018 with a crew of 4, and the deck space of a boat that size means 3 children can be in 3 places at once without a parent losing sight of any of them.
The toy list is a summer camp: an inflatable toy dock, an inflatable wakesurfer, a tube, a 3-seat kayak, 8 pool noodles, 2 sets of water skis, a SeaBob, an underwater scooter, an e-foil and a drone for the flight-home video. She works the coast from Split down to the Krka river at Skradin.
2. AMBER ONE
“A Crew Together Since Launch, and a Jet Ski on a Crane”
AMBER ONE is one of the few true luxury power catamarans in Croatia, and the one whose crew have worked together since she launched in 2023. That shows in a family week: the service is dialed in before the first breakfast.
She is a Sunreef 70 Power for 8 guests in 4 double cabins, each with its own bathroom, with a crew of 4. Her flybridge is the largest we have seen on a catamaran, and she carries a jet ski on a stern crane, still a rare thing on a cat.
For the children the list names kids’ water skis beside the adult set, a kneeboard, a wakeboard, a tube, a towable ring, 2 SeaBobs, floating mats and beach games. She runs from Marina Kaštela in Split at motor-yacht speed, and an e-foil can be hired for the teenagers.

“A Bunk Cabin, a Chef Who Bakes, a Crew Who Like Kids”
N+1 is our number one because she has the 3 things a family week needs and almost no catamaran has together: a fifth cabin with bunk beds for the kids, a chef who bakes fresh pastries and handles gluten-free and dairy-free without fuss, and a crew who take several young children in their stride.
She is a 2024 Sunreef 70 Eco for 10 guests: a king master, 3 doubles with island beds, and the bunk cabin, each with its own bathroom. A crew of 4 run her, skipper, chef, stewardess and deckhand, and the galley sits in the middle of the saloon so the children watch dinner happen.
The toys cover every age: kids’ water skis, a tube, a towable ring, a wakeboard, a kneeboard, floating mats, beach games, 3 paddleboards, a kayak, 2 SeaBobs and an e-foil the crew will teach a teenager to ride. Movie nights run on the pop-up TV.
