Croatia Is Already 51% Booked for Summer 2027

Croatia is the first Mediterranean destination to pass the halfway mark for next summer. We read the booking calendars of the 266 crewed yachts listed for Croatia on 23 October 2026: 135 of them already show a confirmed charter in July or August 2027. That is 51 percent, nine months out. Greece on the same test is at 22 percent.

What this means for your charter

If you want Croatia in July or August 2027, the boat you have in mind is more likely gone than open. Book this winter, not in spring.

The boats going first are the big ones. The 20 to 38 guest motor yachts out of Split, the ones a family reunion or a company takes for a week, show blocks of four to twelve weeks already sold. ALFA MARIO is booked from 26 May to 13 August. CRISTAL from 3 June to 29 August. QUEEN ELEGANZA from mid April to 3 July. NERA EXCELLENCE from 28 July into October.

The 12-guest superyachts are following: ARGO, ANIMA MARIS, NOCTURNO, LADY GITA and ACAPELLA each show a July week taken. EMERALD, a 2027 build, has her first July week sold before launch.

What is still open: most of the 50 to 80 ft catamarans and the smaller motor yachts for 6 to 10 guests, and the second half of August everywhere.

How booked is Croatia for summer 2027?

The count is of recorded bookings on each yacht’s own calendar. In Croatia, 86 of the 266 boats have no calendar entries at all, which proves nothing either way; the 51 percent is counted against the whole fleet, so the real figure among boats that keep their calendars is higher. Only the manager confirms a free week.

Why does Croatia fill so much earlier than Greece?

Three reasons, all structural.

• Croatia sells big boats to big groups. A 30-guest yacht is booked by one organiser a year ahead, and one booking removes a whole week. Greece’s fleet is mostly 8 to 12 guest boats booked by single families, later.
• The season is shorter. Croatia’s charter summer runs June to September; Greece stretches May to October, so Greek calendars absorb demand across more weeks.
• Repeat groups rebook on the way home. The Split boats run the same route for the same company or family every year, and the manager pencils next year in August.

Our take

For a group of 12 or more, Croatia 2027 is a now decision. Send us the dates and the head count this month and we hold the boat before the spring enquiries land. For a family of eight on a catamaran there is still real choice, but the best crews on the best 60 to 70 footers go in January and February. We re-read the calendars before every reply.
