Overview

The Lav Hotel and Marina at Kairos is part of the 5* Le Meridien Group. It is a full-service resort, with its own beach, boasting all the facilities you’d expect from a hotel of this quality – casino, champagne bar, night club, beach bars, swimming pools, tennis courts and, of course, a spa.

Located 6 cables SE of Stobrec. The entrance to the marina can be seen from a distance, as the sign at the top of the 10-story building is clearly visible. There are lights to port and starboard as you enter from the NW.

Where to Anchor

The marina boasts a total of 75 berths. It accommodates vessels up to 30m in the basin and those up to 50m outside

This marina offers all the facilities you’d expect.

A 20-minute drive from Split, it’s a fantastic base from which to explore the coast and mountains inland.

Beaches

As you’d expect, the hotel has its own private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas. Just get there early and claim your spot before they’re all taken for the day!

Podstrana Beach

Close by, this rocky beach is rarely crowded. The water is an absolutely beautiful emerald colour and dazzlingly clear.  From the paths all along the beach, it’s possible to walk into Split, stopping for refreshments at one of the many restaurants, bars, and cafes. Stunning natural scenery, designer boutiques, and big yachts complete the atmosphere.

There are plenty of food choices in the Lav Hotel itself, but when you are ready for a change of scenery and menu, there are more than 20 restaurants within 0.75 of a mile. One place we especially like:

Life’s a Beach Cocktail & Bistrobar

This popular cocktail bar is also known for its reasonable prices, great food, and amazing sunset views.

Things to Do

The location of the marina makes it an ideal base to explore the region. Close to Split, it is within easy reach of a dozen picturesque villages such as Trogir, Omiš, Solin (Salona), and Makarska. Further inland, the stunning natural reserves of Biokovo (St Juraj) and Krka, are less than an hour’s drive, so book a tour or hire a car and get ready to marvel at the breath-taking scenery.

The hotel itself offers numerous sporting activities, but to venture farther afield, what about an early-morning run on the still-deserted beach? Or a more challenging trip into the mountains – on the bikes you can rent from the hotel.
