PURITAN Yacht Description
Proper classic sailing. PURITAN is a 126ft gaff-rigged schooner designed by John G. Alden, built in 1931 and refit in 2023. She sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins, for clients who want the real thing, not “classic-inspired.”
Deck life works. The aft cockpit gives you covered bench seating around the traditional helm, plus a fold-down table for alfresco meals. Forward, there is open deck space that becomes your sunbathing and stretch-out zone at anchor. Simple. Effective.
Originals, not replicas. Inside you get a traditional 1930s interior with original Oregon pine furniture and a lifting skylight in the main salon, so the yacht still feels like a working schooner, just with air conditioning and Wi‑Fi when you want them.
Cabins with options. All guest cabins are en-suite and air-conditioned, with opening deck hatches for light and ventilation. The layout includes a master, two VIP doubles, and a studio/office that converts into an additional cabin with either a double bed or upper and lower berths.
Water time included. A 5m tender with 40hp outboard handles the shuttles, and the toy list stays nicely usable: water-skis, wakeboard, snorkelling gear, and an inflatable doughnut for low-effort entertainment.
Accommodation
Puritan accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 elegantly appointed cabins, one of which is convertible, along with a crew of 7.
- Master Cabin: Features a double bed (190 x 138 cm), a private desk, and an en-suite bathroom.
- Two VIP Cabins: Each offers a double bed (200 x 120 cm) and an en-suite bathroom.
- Studio/Owner’s Office: Designed as a workspace with a desk and leather sofa, this room can convert into an additional cabin with either a double bed (120 x 190 cm) or upper and lower berths, complete with an en-suite bathroom.
All staterooms are air-conditioned and feature opening deck hatches for natural light and ventilation. The bathrooms have been exquisitely refurbished with a selection of fine marbles and custom gold-plated taps, crafted in Florence.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailboat like PURITAN, the expected APA is 15% to 30% of the charter price (€8,625 - €17,250), making the charter cost €66,125 to €74,750. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.
