OPAL (Lagoon 620) Yacht Description
First, the system upgrade: OPAL is a 61ft Lagoon catamaran that treats 10 guests to a full‑service mini‑hotel experience: three‑person pro crew, serious chef, and a layout where all five cabins are queen berths. Translation: no one gets the “kids’ room.”
The real differentiator is the way you live onboard. You’re not cooking, shopping or planning – the crew runs it like a small, very competent restaurant with engines. Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, built off a chef’s menu that runs from octopus salad and black risotto to lobster pasta and tiramisu. If food is a priority, this boat punches well above the usual charter-cat level.
Next edge: toys on demand, not toys in theory. In the base price you already get a proper tender with 60hp, adult and kids’ waterskis, tube, 2 SUPs, floating mats, snorkelling gear and fishing kit. Want to escalate? You can bolt on “fun packs” with bigger RIBs, Seabobs, a 180hp jetski, kayaks, wakeboard, even a karaoke + disco-ball set if your group insists on 80s night.
Comfort spec is modern and practical. Built in 2017, OPAL runs full air‑conditioning, onboard Wi‑Fi, watermaker, generator, BBQ, salon TV/stereo and shaded lounging with bimini and deck shower. It’s a stable, wide 10m‑beam platform with a swim‑friendly stern and enough deck space that kids, sun‑worshippers and “I’m just here for the book” types can all coexist without conflict.
Who this suits: groups up to 10 who want a **crewed, food‑driven charter** with real watersports, optional add‑on toys, and the ability to request everything from special diets to fully nude charters – run by an experienced Croatian captain, pro chef and trained stewardess who treat the boat like a small, well‑organized operation, not a side‑hustle.

Price Terms
Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a sailing catamaran like OPAL (Lagoon 620), the expected APA is 20% to 35% of the charter price (€4,140 - €7,245), making the charter cost €24,840 to €27,945. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Crew
Captain: Janko Ivaniš
CAPTAIN - JANKO IVANIŠ
Janko’s connection with the sea began in his childhood in Split, where his great-uncle was a founding member of a local sailing club. His personal sailing journey started in New Zealand in his mid-twenties, and after returning to Croatia, he expanded his skills at a respected sailing school on the island of Murter. Over time, his passion for sailing evolved into a career in nautical tourism. He gained experience sailing sailboats, catamarans, and motor yachts, working as a skipper, instructor, and participating in regattas. He holds a Yacht Master's license B (500 BT) and is currently training as a national sailing judge. Years of international travel, language studies, and working with crews and passengers have made him highly adaptable to new environments. Additionally, his leadership and teaching experience, gained in the Croatian army and as a sailing instructor, allow him to confidently guide clients and teams. Each day offers him the chance to grow, connect, and share his passion for the sea.
CHEF - BORIS SKORIC
Boris was born in Virovitica, Croatia, where he spent his childhood developing a passion for cooking. From an early age, he was drawn to preparing a variety of dishes, often using fresh ingredients from his own garden.
With over 20 years of experience as a professional chef, Boris has honed his skills in a variety of settings, including restaurants, hotels, and aboard ships, both in Croatia and internationally, including in Germany and Liechtenstein. Driven by a constant desire to grow professionally, he actively seeks new opportunities to enhance his culinary expertise.
One of his standout achievements was serving as the chief organizer for a formal lunch at the Summit in Dubrovnik in July 2014. The event, which hosted European heads of state, ministers, and ambassadors, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, received widespread acclaim. Boris was praised for his exceptional ability to organize both the lunch and the entire event, showcasing his skill and attention to detail.

Reviews
It is almost impossible to capture the essence and feeling of spending time in your beautiful country and on the Adriatic. Boris knew exactly how to find the best weather and he moored the Opal in beautiful, quiet coves where we swam and napped and ate and drank to our hearts' content. Gaga planned, prepared and served the most amazing meals and really outdid himself on our final night when he baked a chocolate birthday cake with ganache filling and pistachio nut toppings. And Marija -- what good care she took of all of us, serving our every whim from cappuccinos to beer and wine, to special gin and tonics, and how she managed to also keep the Opal clean and tidy at the same time will always be a mystery!
Global Rating: 5/5 (Excellent) Beyond expectations
Outstanding service. The food was better than we thought possible. The off boat recommendations from the Captain, Boris, were excellent. The Croatia shores, islands, views, water, historical sites and activities were outstanding. One of the best vacations I have ever taken.
The Opal is a beautiful boat; the photos don't do it justice. It's pristine and spacious.
Boris skillfully skippered the Opal into quiet, scenic coves for swimming and relaxing. Maja quietly and efficiently poured coffee in the mornings and wine the rest of the day, and kept the Opal clean and tidy. She makes a remarkable cappucino! Dragan is a chef of the first order, who served delicious, nutritious meals of meats, fish, vegetables, and even baked a birthday cake on our last evening.
What a spectacular way to visit Croatia. Thank you, Adriatic Sailing. From original inquiry to booking to checking in to a grand sailing adventure, you are all first rate and first class. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am writing a review of our recent sailing holiday with yourselves and Skippercity. Firstly, you have a very beautiful country and you all must be very proud.
The Lagoon 620 catamaran was first class, spacious, great condition and met all our expectations.Service from Miha at SkipperCity during the reservation process was excellent giving me all the information and help I needed to charter the boat, a first for me. The crew - Boris, Maria and Dragan - were also excellent. and we were made to feel welcome with a high level of professional friendly service.Boris quickly found out our preferences and adapted the course to suit us. Maria was very attentive, approachable and professional making our holiday very relaxed and enjoyable. Dragan, what can I say, the meals on board exceeded our expectation and were quality restaurant standard.
A great holiday had by all. 5 star experience.
Thank you for all your service including organising transfers from and to the airport particularly on our last day which finished our holiday in Split on a good note.
Thanks again, Gerry & family
