The consensus seems to be that Freedom is the best option for large group yacht charters (22 to be exact)—you get so much yacht and great luxury facilities for your money! But that is if you can get her.
We are not the only ones who see the value in freedom; she only has one week of availability left for the summer of 2025. Why is she so popular? Because she is one of the few yachts to offer this much luxury for that many people for that price. She is considered a mini cruise ship (this means she is certified with the right safety equipment to have more than 12 people onboard), but she manages to maintain her private superyacht feel.
Plus, she has fantastic amenities, including a spa, gym, pool, jacuzzi, cinema room, poker table, and a huge garage full of water toys.
Freedom Yacht Description
Big group, easy. FREEDOM is a 48.2m (158ft) custom motor yacht built in 2019 and refit in 2022, set up to sleep up to 24 guests in 11 en suite cabins. This is the kind of layout that keeps large groups together without turning the week into a cabin-negotiation sport.
Sundeck does the work. You get a swimming pool, a deck jacuzzi, and a bar on the sundeck, so the main daily decision is simple: pool first, or jacuzzi first. Add sunpads and loungers and it becomes a full-day loop of shade, dips, and low-effort socialising.
Wellness and screen time. There’s a gym plus a spa area with sauna, massage room, and a beauty room for recovery days. When everyone wants to be “indoors but still together,” the movie theatre and cinema/video gaming room handle it.
Toys that get used. The swim platform makes water access straightforward, and the lineup is properly active: jet ski(s), SeaBobs, water skis, wakeboard, paddleboards (including electric options), E-foils, kayak/canoe, plus a waterslide for the inevitable repeat runs.

Plus Expenses - add APA to the price you see
Plus Expenses arrangement includes the boat and crew only (without tip).
All additional/variable expenses such as Gas and Food are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) - an additional deposit that is added on top of the charter price.
The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption).
For a motor yacht like Freedom, the expected APA is 25% to 40% of the charter price (€30,000 - €48,000), making the charter cost €150,000 to €168,000. Exact amount will be confirmed after inquiry.
You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled).
The remainder of the APA is returned after charter.

Freedom also features a cinema and video gaming room, a sauna with a large shower, two open bars, and a spacious indoor dining area.
Zen Deck or Party Place?
With an overall length of almost 50 meters and a beam of 9 meters, this extra-spacious yacht is spread over four decks – lower, main, upper, and sun deck.
The sundeck on Freedom has a pool, a large jacuzzi, private bar, fitness studio, and lounge area with a huge TV. The space can either be used as a health and wellbeing area for yoga and fitness (and smoothies!), or alternatively a lively venue for entertainment (and cocktails!).
