Core upload to your brain: RED DRAGON is a 51.7m Dubois-designed performance sloop, refit as recently as 2023, built in aluminium by Alloy Yachts to cross oceans in comfort and look annoyingly good while doing it. If you want a yacht that actually sails – fast – instead of just switching on stabilisers and Netflix, this is the one worth opening in a new tab.
The “why this yacht” file: You get a proper sailing machine with clean decks, a 62.5m carbon mast and serious sail-handling hardware, wrapped around a calm, contemporary interior by Wilmotte & Associates. Up to 10 guests sleep in 5 cabins including a full‑beam owner’s suite; there’s also a dedicated gym with Pullman and en‑suite, so you can use it as a real workout space or as a stealth sixth cabin for staff, teens or overflow humans.
Hardware for play, not just for show: The toy list is built for people who actually go in the water: 2 Reverso sailboats, Seabobs, kite surfer, windsurfer, wakeboards, skis, SUPs, towables, kayak and full snorkel/scuba kit (with a guide when needed). Add a beach‑club style stern and floating platforms and you get a proper sea‑level basecamp, not just a hydraulic Instagram background.
Off‑duty systems check: When you’re done pretending you’ll “spend less time on screens this trip”, the tech stack is already live: full Crestron control, Kaleidescape video and audio, Wi‑Fi throughout and a 100' projector screen on the aft deck for open‑air movie nights that make regular cinemas look under‑spec’d. Air‑con, gym equipment and a 9‑person crew round out the package so you focus on sails, toys and sleep, not logistics.
