PLANET NINE Yacht Description
Start with the non-negotiable flex: PLANET NINE is a 73m ice-class explorer with a fully commercial helipad, hangar and MD 600‑type explorer helicopter capability. If you want to arrive by tender, fine. If you want to arrive by helicopter onto your own yacht, with refuelling on board, this is one of the very few charter boats that actually does that in the real world, not just in CGI.
The principal‑guest power move: the entire main deck is a private 3,000 sq ft owner’s apartment. Not a “larger cabin”. An apartment. Bedroom suite, dressing rooms, lounge, study, private terrace – ringfenced from the rest of the yacht. Above that, a full VIP domain with its own lounge that converts into another cabin. In total, PLANET NINE sleeps up to 12 guests in 8–9 cabins, with a layout that separates principal, VIP and other guests like someone actually thought about hierarchy.
Explorer hull, superyacht brain: ice‑classed, 2,100 GT of volume and a 6,000nm range means PLANET NINE is built to go way beyond the milk‑run cruising grounds. Stabilizers at anchor and underway, Lloyd’s ice classification and serious tenders (Rupert limousine and RIBs) make “remote” a practical setting, not a marketing word.
When you’re not flying, you’re soaking: a dedicated beach club with spa, steam room and sauna opens straight onto a big swim platform and sea terrace. Up top: deck Jacuzzi, giant sunpads, bar and multiple outdoor lounges. Inside: a real cinema with a 119‑inch screen, full Apple AV throughout, elevator serving all five decks, and a gym so you can pretend the dessert never happened.
Toys, because you’re still on a yacht: Jet‑Skis, Seabobs, jet surf, kite surfers, scuba sets, sea pool, inflatable jungle gym, trampoline, towables, paddleboards, canoes and a heavily stocked tender garage. Translation: if someone says “I’m bored,” they’re lying.
Why charter PLANET NINE instead of another big white yacht: because this one combines a true ice‑class exploration platform, helicopter operations, a full‑deck private apartment for the principal guest and a serious spa/cinema/beach‑club ecosystem. It’s built for clients who actually intend to go somewhere interesting and still expect the villa‑level comfort to come with them.
