O'HANA Yacht Description
Start with the main glitch in the system: OHANA is a 49.7m Dubois-designed performance sloop that actually wins regattas and still lets you have a bar, cinema lounge and sundeck chill-out zone without feeling like you’re camping on a race boat. If you want real sailing without giving up your creature comforts, this is the short list.
Built to move fast, set up to live well. Underneath the sleek grey aluminium hull is a proven regatta competitor (Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta etc. is not marketing fluff, it’s her track record). Above deck you get spacious outdoor areas for proper lounging, below deck you get a calm, white‑washed oak interior wired with Wi‑Fi, air‑con and satellite TV instead of “heritage systems that might work today.”
Guest reality check: up to 10 guests in 5 generous cabins, with a full‑beam master suite that behaves like an actual private apartment: en suite, serious wardrobe space, and a dedicated office so you can “just check email” and accidentally run your company from a sailing yacht. Two doubles and two twins, all en suite, keep families and mixed groups from negotiating bathroom schedules.
Toys are not theoretical. This is a boat for people who actually get in the water: waterskis, wakeboard, windsurfers (beginner and advanced), paddleboards, Subwing, snorkelling gear, plus 4 full scuba sets and an onboard dive compressor tucked in the lazarette. Add the 11m Magazzù chase tender and 6m guest RIB and you’ve basically got your own mini aquatic ops centre.
Why charter OHANA instead of another 160‑footer: because most “cruising” sail yachts barely sail; this one does. You get genuine performance sailing, a 2012 build with fresh refits, a crew of 8 tuned for both racing and relaxed family charters, and a layout that supports actual living, working and playing onboard – not just posing for the brochure.
